At Soraca Med, CoolSculpting (cryolipolysis, also called fat freezing) in Antalya starts from €150 per treatment area. One session typically reduces around 20 to 25 percent of the fat in the treated area, results appear gradually over 1 to 3 months, and there is no surgery or downtime. It is designed for small areas of stubborn, pinchable fat, not for weight loss. Every treatment plan at Soraca Med is reviewed by our plastic surgeon, Dr. Gökhan Bacak.

How Is the CoolSculpting Price Calculated?

Fat freezing is priced per applicator cycle, so the total depends on how many areas and cycles your plan needs:
- Number of areas: a small area such as under the chin needs one cycle; the abdomen or both flanks often need two or more.
- Number of sessions: thicker fat may need a second session after about two to three months.
- Applicator size: larger applicators cover more tissue in one cycle.
- Combined treatments: some patients combine cryolipolysis with other body treatments during the same trip.
Because each cycle takes under an hour and there is no recovery period, many international patients book fat freezing alongside another treatment or a short holiday in Antalya. You can read more on our cold lipolysis treatment page.
How Does CoolSculpting Work?
Cryolipolysis uses controlled cooling to target fat cells, which are more sensitive to cold than the skin, muscles and nerves around them. The applicator draws the tissue into a cup or rests on it and cools it to a carefully controlled temperature. The cooled fat cells are damaged and, over the following weeks, the body’s immune system gradually clears them away.
The treated fat cells are removed permanently, but the remaining fat cells can still grow if you gain weight. That is why a stable weight matters for long-term results.
Which Areas Can Be Treated?
- Abdomen and flanks (“love handles”)
- Under the chin and along the jawline
- Inner and outer thighs
- Upper arms
- Bra fat, back fat and the area under the buttocks
Who Is a Good Candidate?
CoolSculpting suits adults who are close to their goal weight but have pockets of fat that do not respond to diet and exercise. You are likely to benefit if you can pinch the fat between your fingers and want a gradual, natural-looking change without surgery.
It is not suitable for people with obesity, loose skin as the main concern, or a hernia in the treatment area. It must not be used in people with cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, because cold exposure can trigger serious reactions in these conditions. Tell the doctor about any medical conditions before treatment.
CoolSculpting vs Liposuction
| CoolSculpting (cryolipolysis) | Liposuction | |
| Method | Controlled cooling, no incisions | Surgical removal of fat through small incisions |
| Fat reduction | About 20 to 25% per session in the treated area | Larger, immediate reduction |
| Anesthesia | None | Local, sedation or general |
| Downtime | None | About 1 to 2 weeks |
| Results | Gradual over 1 to 3 months | Visible within weeks, final at 3 to 6 months |
| Best for | Small, pinchable fat pockets | Larger areas or more fat |
If you want a more dramatic change in a single treatment, liposuction is usually the better option. Our doctors explain both during the consultation.
Results and Recovery

| Time after treatment | What to expect |
| First hours | Redness, firmness and numbness of the treated skin |
| Days 1 to 14 | Mild swelling, tenderness, tingling or itching that settles on its own |
| Week 3 onwards | First visible reduction of the treated area |
| Months 2 to 3 | Most of the change is visible; a second session can be planned if needed |
Most patients walk out of the clinic and continue their day as normal. There are no stitches, no compression garment and no restrictions on flying.
Side Effects and Safety
Common, temporary effects are redness, swelling, bruising, numbness, tingling and tenderness. Rarely, the treated area can develop paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH), a firm enlargement of the fat in the treated area that appears months later instead of a reduction. PAH is uncommon, has been reported more often in men, and usually needs liposuction to correct. A responsible clinic explains this risk before treatment.
How to Get the Best Result

- Choose realistic targets: small to moderate fat pockets respond best.
- Keep your weight stable before and after treatment.
- Follow the massage and aftercare advice given after each cycle.
- Allow two to three months before deciding on a second session.
- Combine treatment with regular exercise and a balanced diet to maintain the result.
